PASSPORT

Applications for Passport renewals and replacements can now be lodged with the High Commission of the Republic of Fiji, New Delhi. Passports are sent from the High Commission to Department of Immigration, Fiji for processing and the current processing time is a minimum of 4 weeks.

Please note that the total period of validity of a Fiji Passport is ten years from the original date of issue. It is the responsibility of all passport holders to renew their passport prior to expiry.

Applicants are to ensure that all the information required on the application form is completed in full and that all required documents are attached to the form.Processing may take longer in some cases due to the following possible reasons: – incomplete applications; non-payment of fees; delay in transportation/ handling by the courier services; delay in processing by the Department of Immigration Fiji.

The High Commission of the Republic of Fiji in New Delhi will not be held responsible for any delay in the processing of passport applications by the Department of Immigration Fiji, or any mishandling by the courier services.

Requirements for new Ordinary Passport

  • Completed application form.
  • Original birth certificate (full extract).
  • Marriage certificate for change of name by marriage.
  • 2 passport size colored photographs (certified and signed by the same person witnessing the form).
  • Valid photo identification card.
  • $72.00 FJD.

Requirements for renewal of expired Ordinary Passport

  • Completed application form.
  • 2 passport size colored photographs (certified and signed by the same person witnessing the form).
  • Old passport book.
  • $72.00 FJD.

Requirements for replacement of lost but valid Ordinary Passport

  • Completed application form.
  • ORIGINAL birth certificate (full extract).
  • 2 passport size colored photographs (certified and signed by the same person witnessing the form).
  • Police report.
  • Statutory declaration form.
  • $180.00 FJD.
